Hey girls, how you all doing?
Just a little review on hair dye for you (:
I have never dyed my hair before and so I was a bit apprehensive to do it but I fancied a change so I gathered all my courage and did it! I didn't want a permanent colour since this was my first time dyeing my hair so I specifically chose one that lasts only 28 washes.
The hair dye I used was the Loreal Casting Creme Gloss in number 500 Medium Brown. It cost only £5.95 or you can get 2 for £10 at Superdrugs. (I'm not too sure if this offer is still available).
I'm naturally blonde so I was kinda scared that this would make me look like a vampire or something lol since it's quite a dark shade but I'm pleased to say it turned out very well. It isn't too dark, it's the exact colour I was looking for!
The application of the colour was very easy, thought I had to get my boyfriend to do it for me because my hair is soo long and I couldn't reach or see what I was doing at the back lol I had to wait 20 minutes before washing the product out of my hair and I thought that I'd be standing over the bath for ageesss trying to get the water to run clear but it really didn't take long at all, which is good. It also leaves your hair smelling absolutely amazing once you've applied and washed out the conditioner that is provided.
I definitely recommend this product if it's your first time dyeing your hair or if you just want a splash of colour for a while (:
Here are some before and after photos (I didn't actually take these photos directly before or after, I forgot! But they'll do):

You'll have to excuse the face on the last one - I wasn't having the best day!
So anyway, get dyeing that hair!
Much love

@scouselovesmakeup Aww thank you! Your comment definitely made me smile! (: Also, I plan on continuing to use the Loreal Casting Creme Gloss, I love it! xo
ReplyDeleteI think that colour looks great on you and I'm wanting to use the same colour. I have heard mixed results about it actually being permanent, not semi permanent. How long did this take to wash out of your hair?
